She Lives

Maggie Lives. Took awhile but we finally got her running. Turns out there was a bubble in the clutch line. Took some time to come out but she did. After bleeding it and bleeding it, it began to work. Forgot to add some expenses. $15.49 for the two slave seals. If it wasn't for these, there wouldn't be a clutch. Also, two big bottles of dot-3. $8.40 for that.
Took her for a ride after we were done. Put on exactly 7.7 miles on it for the first ride with a clutch. Brakes seem to be good. Handles well. Need to fix the speedometer cable, speed was showing between 90 and 120. Should fix that, need to now how fast it is.
Next will be to replace the right side rubber mounts for the turn signals. Will order those tonight. Maybe even order a windshield. Will see. I am trying to put the bike in a bike show this weekend. Will see if that happens. Might not have enough time. Also, have to register it and get insurance for it. Try and to that tomorrow or Wednesday. Then she will be street legal.
I am blessed to have a friend like Darrell. Without him this project wouldn't have been completed. Also, I learned a few things. Learned about compression, hydraulic clutch system. How to put together clutch side cover. Gaskets. What should be fixed first to see if the bike was even worth pursuing. If these things wouldn't have happened I would have scrapped the bike and parted it out. Maybe or maybe not getting my money out of it. Would have learned about that too. One of the biggest things that I learned is that it is amazing the knowledge that my friends have. Things that I never learned. That is what makes us all up, knowledge. And a few other things. But, knowledge and things that we learn over time make us up. Doesn't have to be about fixing broken machines, can be about anything. Well have to go. C Ya. B Safe.
