Road Worthy
Yesterday was a big day for the Magna. Put the clutch back together with the help from my friend Darryl Tollar. I can never remember exaclty how to spell his first name that is really bad. I will call him Big D from now on. I seem to like that. Sort of like Big Daddy Don Garlets the racer. I always liked racing. Especially drag racing when I was a kid. Loved the Funny Cars. Big D put the clutch plates back in. I cleaned off all of the old gasket material from the sides. New filter and added new oil. The right oil this time. Motorcycle oil. Friction oil to help with the wet clutch. $30 for the oil and oil filter. That is really inexpensive. She started right up. One push of the button. Big D decieded to take it for a spin. Even though there wasn't a clutch handle. He went down the road a bit. Shifted to second and looked like the wheel wanted to come up. His eyes got really big when that happened. Still not a lot of money stuck into it. Oh and by the way Susan found out about the bike yesterday morning. That is a different story all together. Didn't start out good, but it ended good. Now she knows. Didn't want her to find out until I was done with it. Cleaned it up a bit. But, it is what it is. Time to go clean out the garage.
